How owners opt in to Hometown Management text alerts
Hometown Realty, LLC, doing business as Hometown Management, manages residential rental homes in Bryan and College Station, Texas. We only text rental property owners who have asked for texts in one of the two ways below. Nobody is added from a purchased, rented or shared list. Texts come from (979) 366-4545. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.

1. Sign-in code (one text per request)
On the public sign-in page, owners.hmbcs.com/portal/sign-in, an owner can choose "Text me a code instead", enter the mobile number already on their owner record and tap "Text me a code". That sends one sign-in code and nothing else. This is the exact block they see:

2. Ongoing account alerts (optional switch, off by default)
Ongoing alerts (payout and statement notices, invoice and document notices, signature requests) only start after an owner signs in, opens Settings, turns on the "Text notifications" switch, confirms the mobile number and taps "Save preferences". The switch is off until the owner turns it on, and texts are never a condition of our management services. Because Settings is behind the owner's login, this is an exact copy of that screen:

After opting in
Before the first alert goes to a new number, the owner receives a one-time intro text: "Hometown Mgmt: You will get texts from this number about your rental property with Hometown Management. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help." Replying STOP ends texts immediately, and the owner can also turn the switch off at any time. Questions: call (979) 366-3500 or email owners@hmbcs.com.
